How do I create a family and friends booking?
- Firstly, you will need to go onto your vans page on Wheelbase and click 'New Quote' on the top right hand side.
- Once you click that, select the dates of the booking (the normal price will come up on the right hand side but you can ignore that).
- Scroll down to the end of the page and under 'How did the renter contact us?' you can select 'web'
- Then click 'create a new customer' and pop in your friends details.
- Click 'Create and edit quote'.
- From that page, scroll about 2 thirds down the page to Rental Charge. You will need to amend that amount to £1 (Wheelbase needs all reservations to be at least £1 for it to recognise the booking and your insurer requires a chargeable card to be on file).
- If you don't want to charge your friend the £500 security deposit hold, scroll down a little further to the end and put £0 instead of £500.
- Click save changes.
- This creates a draft and if you're happy to send that off, click 'Send Quote'
- This will send a link to your friend to book your van for £1.
